The Senior Executives Association (SEA) is looking for nominees to form a group that will be refined to a few awardees chosen as the best of the best in leadership of the federal workforce.
A few of the awards will go to Outstanding Senior Executive/Professional of the Year; Senior Executive/Professional Lifetime Achievement; Excellence in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility; and others.
The new SEA award event was created to widen and increase the very small number of prizes available through existing contests.
According to Bob Corsi, president of the organization, “I am excited to announce the upcoming launch of SEA’s first-ever awards program – the Senior Executives Association Annual Awards (SEAAA).
Our Board of Directors decided that an SEA awards program was long overdue and that we needed to recognize the incredible accomplishments of our executives that may not rise to the level that are recognized with the very limited Presidential Rank Awards.”
Added Corsi, “They further wanted to ensure that no small agency would be at a disadvantage in nominating their executives because of the inability to pay out large cash awards. We are starting small with three very prestigious awards and hope to expand in the future.”
The new SEA awards are meant to recognize those “whose achievements embody SEA’s mission-driven expectations of meritorious federal executive/professional service to the United States,” said the SEA.
“Moreover, the program will recognize exemplary executive leadership and outstanding professional performance on major projects with department/agency-wide impact that clearly exceeds expectations.”
The SEA awards timetable and other details of the event are scheduled to be released later in 2022.
