Sally Colloton
Associate Attorney
Sally Colloton is an experienced litigation attorney. She has spent the vast majority of her career in the courtroom interpreting the law and advocating for the correct application of legal principles. She has engaged in the practice of both civil and criminal law and has tried over 50 jury trials and has appeared in thousands of cases in court before an array of Judges. She has argued cases in State and Federal Court and has worked with numerous Federal Agencies. Ms. Colloton received her Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2016.

While in law school, Ms. Colloton served as a Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Social Equality, externed during the summers with the Wisconsin Judiciary as a Clerk and with Ford Motor Vehicles, and interned during the academic year with the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office. Prior to law school, she received two B.A. degrees in History and Writing Intensive English from Marquette University where she was a member of the Sigma Tau Delta English Honors and Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Societies and graduated Cum Laude. ‍

Ms. Colloton joined Melville Johnson, P.C. in 2024, and is a current member of the State Bar of Colorado. Prior to this, Ms. Colloton worked as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, a Deputy District Attorney in El Paso County, an Associate Attorney in the District Court Litigation Division of the Office of the Principle Legal Advisor for the Department of Homeland Security, and as a Deputy District Attorney in Mesa County.  Ms. Colloton chose to practice federal employment law after working for years as a prosecutor, where she developed a passion for litigating and became very familiar with the federal government.  

Ms. Colloton lives in Atlanta and is active in her community where she volunteers for a range of environmental causes, sails on Lake Allatoona, and does a variety of other outdoor activities.
